Marion Park Community Association Meetup
Join us for a community canvassing event to help push Long Beach to implement Assembly Bill 645 Speed Safety Program to make our streets safer for everyone—especially kids, seniors, and pedestrians.
We’ll be going door-to-door, talking to local business owners, and collecting signatures for a petition calling on the city to take action against dangerous speeding and implement AB 645.

Finish the Ride and Finish the Run - Santa Clarita
Join us for a fabulous day of running, riding, rolling or walking all in support of safer roads across California!
Finish the Ride was started by Damian Kevitt in the spirit of courage and determination to overcome tragedy despite insurmountable odds following him losing his leg to a hit-and-run crime.
It is a movement that has been heard worldwide to make the streets safer for all road users.
On the 26th of October 2025, enjoy the scenic San Fransciquito Bike Path and beyond, as well as the beautiful Santa Clara River Path, along with fellow cyclists, runners, walkers, and many others for our Finish the Ride and Run Santa Clarita!

Ghost Tire Memorial Honouring Eddie Rivera IV
Streets Are For Everyone and the loved ones of Eddie "Buddy" Rivera IV will host a Ghost Tire Memorial to honor his life and call attention to the urgent need for safety improvements along Pacific Coast Highway.
Eddie Rivera, born in 1998, was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend known for his selflessness and dedication to helping others. On January 26, 2025, at just 26 years old, Eddie tragically lost his life on PCH while returning home after working long hours assisting with fire recovery efforts in Pacific Palisades.
Eddie brought joy, laughter, and light to the lives of many. Now, his community mourns his loss while channeling their grief into a movement for change.

Wildfire Day: Los Angeles
Join us at the Autry for a free, family-friendly community event focused on wildfire awareness and safety in Los Angeles, where you’ll earn how to prevent wildfires, protect your home, prepare your family, and stay safe in the unfortunate event of a wildfire.
We’ll have local experts who’ll provide vital information on prevention, preparedness, and evacuation plans specific to our area.
There will also be a kids fire camp and activities.

You’ve made programs like Finish The Ride and Run Griffith Park, The Clean Ride Crew, the Streets, Art, SAFE high school competition, our policy and legislation work, as well as various rallies, protests, and activations huge successes.
Thanks to volunteers like you, Streets Are For Everyone is able to continue our mission to create a future without traffic fatalities and a safer, better experience for all road users. Thank you for helping us make an impact and create change in communities across Southern California. We couldn’t have done this without you!

12th Annual Finish The Ride Griffith Park
Finish the Ride was started 12 years ago by Damian Kevitt in the spirit of courage and determination to overcome tragedy despite insurmountable odds, following him losing his leg to a hit-and-run crime.
It is a movement, which has been heard around the world, to stop the epidemic of traffic violence and make the streets safer for all road users.
Join your fellow cyclists to enjoy the beautiful scenery and back roads of Griffith Park. Our rides take you on a journey through the park and surrounding areas with 5 ride lengths from 12 to 62miles.
Top it all off with an expo at our wonderful end event venue at the Autry Museum of the American West.

featuring a 1K Kids & Puppy Run, 5K & 10K Walk/Run, and a Half Marathon Trail Run. Runners and walkers of all levels join to support safer streets and active communities while enjoying Griffith Park’s scenic routes.
Top it all off with an expo at our wonderful end event venue at the Autry Museum of the American West.

Clean Ride Crew - Griffith Park
Get ready for another amazing Clean Ride Crew event this May—we need your help to make it a success!
Join SAFE as we work together to keep our bike paths clean and safe for everyone.
This month, we're tackling a stretch of bike lane in the largest urban-wilderness municipal park in the United States, Griffith Park!
Since launching in 2023, Clean Ride Crew has removed tens of thousands of pounds of trash, cleaned miles of bike paths, and gotten many hazards fixed or removed!

Traffic violence is the leading cause of death for United States teens (13-19).
Streets, Art, SAFE is a fun and creative program that educates high school students about traffic safety through the arts - film, posters, and visual storytelling.
We invite you to join us in making the 2025 Streets, Art, SAFE annual awards ceremony an unforgettable day for hundreds of student artists and filmmakers!
This is a celebration honoring creativity, youth voices, and traffic safety advocacy — and we need your help to bring it all to life!
Whether you're great at greeting guests, love capturing moments behind the camera, or just want to lend a hand where it's needed most, we have a spot for you!

Dying-In Los Angeles - A Protest for Safer Streets: Don’t “DOGE” LA Safety
A coalition of non-profits and road safety advocates will be hosting a die-in* on the steps of LA City Hall to raise awareness of LA’s dystopian-level budget cuts.
The “DOGE”-like budget cuts that would gut LADOT’s ability to make streets safer.
If these cuts go through, there will be no funding for new safety improvements next year — no speed reduction measures, no protected bike lanes, no pedestrian upgrades. Nothing.
We again need to raise our voices.

Demand a Safer Griffith Park!
It's been 3 years since Andrew was killed in a hit-and-run crash while biking for charity, and we have yet to see the improvements on Crystal Springs Dr. that SAFE helped to get funded.
Join us on April 19th in honoring the memory of cyclist Andrew Jelmert who was struck and killed in Griffith Park on April 16, 2022 and help us demand action from the LA Parks department.

Submit Public Comments to Support L.A. River Phase IV Bikeway extension
Support the LA River Phase IV Bikeway Project by submitting public comments!
The City of Los Angeles is proposing to upgrade an existing maintenance road into a new section of the Los Angeles River Bikeway.
The Project would extend the Los Angeles River Bikeway by approximately one mile from its current western terminus near Riverside Drive and would provide new equestrian trail facilities near the Los Angeles Equestrian Center.

Voice your Support for Forest Lawn Drive Active Transportation and Traffic Safety Project
Tell the Mayor of Los Angeles and LA DOT that you want active transportation and safety improvements to Forest Lawn Drive as part of the planned repaving.

SAFE and allied organizations across Southern California invite you to join us in observing the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims—a global event held every third Sunday of November.
This day is dedicated to honoring those who have lost their lives or been impacted by roadway crashes.
746 lives were lost and tens of thousands were injured in LA County in 2023 alone. Together, we gather to honor their memory, raise awareness, and work towards safer streets.
